Protecting science and its users
"A common attribute of [science] denial is that it side-steps the peer-reviewed literature and relies on platforms such as internet blogs or tabloid newspapers to disseminate its dissent from the scientific mainstream"
Professor Stephan Lewandowsky
Good science is plain
There is at present a war raging between the rational and irrational, the evident and ideological, with enlightened, empirical science the loser. Pitted against privately wealthy, loud and colourful voices of science denial, quietly advancing public science rarely gets a look in, jeopardising rational policy-making and bulldozing our ability to plan for the future of our environment and society. With a single, regulated platform for professional and citizen science alike we can radically change this. A voluntary scheme of plain pages would significantly reduce the ability of loud and colourful privately-funded voices to drown out bias free public science. Plain fact will take centre stage once more. You can help make this platform the gold standard for science communication: please read our infographic below and share it with as many friends and colleagues as possible, and sign up with the button to the left.
